TEMPLE MISSIONARY BAPTIST STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in the 1611 King James Version Bible. The Holy Bible is the inspired word of God. We believe that all 66 books from Genesis to Revelation are correct and contain no errors.

II Peter 1:19-21; II Timothy 3:16,17; John 17:17; Acts 28:25; Romans 15:4

We believe that there is one and only one living and true God. We believe that God created the world and man in 6 days and rested on the 7th day. In the unity of the Godhead there are three equal persons: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the virgin birth and sinless humanity of Jesus Christ. He was begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of Mary, a virgin, as no other man was or ever can be born of a virgin.

We believe in order to be saved, sinners must be born again. Jesus gave His life for all sinners, HE bled, died and rose again on the 3rd day that we may have eternal life through His blood.

We believe that you must be saved and then it is commanded in the scriptures to be baptized. We believe in fully immersion with water in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost. We believe a born again Christian should partake of The Lord's Supper. Anyone with known sin in their life should confess their sins to God before taking the supper.

We believe in the premillenial, personal, bodily return of Christ. This same Jesus that was taken up to heaven shall come again in like manner, in a moment in the twinkling of an eye at the last trump.The dead in Christ shall rise first and then all born again believers will meet Him the air. Christ shall reign 1000 years in righteousness until He hath put all enemies under His feet. The millennium will be followed by the resurrection of the unrighteous unto eternal punishment in the lake of fire and the righteous shall enter into eternity forever to live with Christ in Heaven.

We believe that marriage is the sacred union between a natural born male and a natural born female as taught in the 1611 King James Version of the Bible in the book of Genesis.

We do not believe or condone any form of marriage or any form of commitment agreement between two or more males or two or more females. The scripture refers to homosexuality as an abomination to God and unrighteousness and states that those engaged in this will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Temple Baptist Church will not grant membership to anyone engaging in homosexual activities.

Temple Baptist will not permit the use of any part of their property for the purpose of performing a marriage or commitment between two males or two females. No minister of this church will take part or perform such a ceremony.

However, a man or woman can be forgiven and cleansed from this sin by the Lord Jesus Christ if they truly repent, forsake their former lifestyle, and receive salvation.
